"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."

Hebrews 10:23-25

Who Are We Page Title

Who are we?  We are neither Catholic, Protestant, Jew or cult.  We are simply a group of Christians trying to restore New Testament Christianity, trying to get back to doing Bible things in Bible ways. We strive to speak where the Bible speaks, and be silent where the Bible is silent.  Where we affirm something to be true, we substantiate it by Biblical authority.  We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17, John 6:63).  We believe that the Bible is all sufficient and that man-made creeds and doctrines are unnecessary and contrary to God’s plan (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:3).  We believe in "rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15), that is interpreting scripture according to its proper context and allowing the Bible to teach us, rather than going to the Bible to justify what we already believe (2 Timothy 2:15).

The religious world is fragmented into many groups called denominations, all claiming some right to exist.  But God said, "Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it." (Psalms 127:1).  The Apostle Paul writes in Colossians 3:17, "And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him."  We recognize then that everything we believe and everything we practice must be by the authority of God as set forth in his holy word, or else it is built on a foundation of sand.

Galatians 1:6-12
Ephesians 4:1-6

We believe in Jesus Christ:

  • That He is the Son of God (Matthew 16:13-17,  John 4:25-26).
  • That through His death, burial, and resurrection we are saved and our lives are made new (Romans 6:3-5, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, 2 Corinthians 5:17).
  • That His Church is comprised of those who are "called out" of
this world, who have given themselves in faith and obedience to His will, and are saved by His grace (1 Peter 2:9-10, Hebrews 5:9).
  • We believe the Bible teaches that anyone can be saved who is
convicted of his sins through the gospel and gladly responds to the message (Romans 10:13, Acts 10:34-35, Acts 22:16).
  • We believe in families because God instituted them (Genesis 2:18-25, Ephesians 6:1-4).
  • We believe in true worship because God demands it (John 4:23-24).
  • We believe in fellowship because it is a joyful part of Christian
    living (Acts 2:42, 1 John 1:7, Philippians 2:1-4).
  • We also believe in fellowship because God intended it for our growth, both individually and collectively (Ephesians 4:11-16).
  • We believe in sharing Jesus because it is our commission
(Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-16). Jesus is the great gift of God for all mankind (John 3:16). How sad for one to live his entire life without knowing Jesus and receiving the blessing of eternal life through Him.
  • Finally, we believe in you! We believe you were created in the
image of God (Genesis 1:26-27). We believe that sin is a problem in your life as it is in everyone's and that it separates you from God (Isaiah 59:1-2, Romans 3:23). We believe that you can be restored again to that image of God through Jesus Christ (John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Colossians 3:10, Romans 8:29-30). You have all the potential in the world to live a full abundant life (John 10:10), to grow up in Christ Jesus, and be happy, fruitful, and satisfied having the peace that passes all understanding and looking forward to eternal life (2 Peter 1:5-11, 2 Timothy 4:6-8).

We care for your soul, Jesus died for it. Will you not care also? Jesus said "For what is a man profited if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" (Matthew 16:26).

Will you not investigate? We invite you to come and study with us, worship with us, eat with us in our homes. Together, let us find the way that leads to everlasting life.

God's Plan of Salvation

The Bible says that Jesus tasted death for everyone (Hebrews 2:9), but Jesus says that only a few will go to heaven (Matthew 7:13-14). Where is the difference; how do we reconcile the two statements?

It lies in man's response to God! In His wisdom, God designed a simple plan by which we accept His grace, without which no one can be saved. Have you followed this plan?

  1. Hear the message of the gospel (Romans 10:14).
  2. Believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God (John 8:24, John 20:30-31).
  3. Repent of your sins (Luke 13:3, Acts 17:30, 2 Corinthians 7:9-
    10).
  4. Confess Jesus as the Son of God (Romans 10:9-10, Matthew 10:32-33).
  5. Be buried with Him in baptism for the remission of your sins (Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:3-6, Colossians 2:11-12, Galatians 3:27, 1 Peter 3:18-21).
  6. Walk in newness of life, worshiping God and living as a Christian (Acts 2:40-47, John 4:23-24, 2 Corinthians 6:17-18, Philippians 4:8-9, 2 Peter 1:5-11).

Do not delay, for James says that life is but a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away (James 4:14). One day every one of us will stand before the judgment seat of Christ to give an answer for the things we have done in this life, whether they be good or whether they be bad (Romans 14:10-12).

Are you prepared? May we assist you in your obedience to God?
We earnestly plead that you will give this your deepest consideration.
